The Democracy, Just Societies and Climate Justice Programme is a project that aims to build a more Sustainable, gender transformative and equitable socioeconomic model in Kenya by promoting climate Justice and a green economy advocated by women, youth and civil society alliances and is being Implemented in Kajiado and Kilifi County. This project contributes to two of the overall strategic priorities in the Danish Strategy for International Cooperation:
  • Democratic Values and Human Rights: The project protects democracy and supports effective, democratic and responsible states, including providing education.
  • Climate and Green Solutions: The project strengthens civil society capacity to engage in advocacy efforts related to climate justice.
The project is expected to make a significant contribution to Kenya's efforts in tackling climate change and building a more sustainable and equitable future for all Kenyans. This will help to ensure that all Kenyans have a voice in public decision-making.
